Matthew I. Goforth
Matt has practiced law in Alabama since graduating from law school in 2005. His practice is focused on representing and advising clients in all aspects of their business matters, whether related to a dispute with another party, a business transaction, or a liquidity event. He routinely advises clients on employee and independent contractor-related matters and other sensitive matters, both business and personal. Matt also regularly represents clients in business sales and purchases, and has negotiated dozens of multi-million dollar business transactions. On the litigation side, Matt represents clients in all aspects of their business disputes when litigation becomes necessary, and has extensive experience representing businesses and individuals in connection with non-competition and non-solicitation covenants and agreements, and litigation arising therefrom.
Matt is a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church and both the Alabama and Birmingham Bar Associations. Away from the office Matt is an avid fisherman and golfer, and when his schedule allows, he enjoys backpacking, canoeing, and other outdoor pursuits. Matt is married to Emily Ponsford Goforth and they are the proud parents of two sons.

Bryan G. Hale
Since graduating from law school in 2005, Bryan has represented businesses, lenders, financial institutions, retailers, private-equity groups, professionals, and individuals in federal, state, and bankruptcy courts. He is licensed to practice in the state and federal courts of Alabama, Mississippi, and Texas. Bryan litigates a wide variety of cases including business, contract, consumer-protection, construction, commercial litigation, and trust disputes. Representing both plaintiffs and defendants fosters Bryan’s ability to evaluate both sides of a case, anticipate arguments, and make necessary preparations. In addition to litigation, Bryan assists business clients with the creation of start-up, organizational, operational, purchase, and liquidation documents.
Bryan is married to Michelle and the proud father of four sons. He is a member of St. Mary’s on the Highlands Episcopal Church. In his spare time, he enjoys watching and coaching his boys’ sports, spending time outdoors, and competitive golf.

Andrew D. Perreault
Since beginning his practice, Andrew has handled complex defense litigation matters with an emphasis on trucking litigation, commercial litigation, insurance coverage, and workers’ compensation litigation. Andrew has handled cases from inception to verdict all across the state of Alabama. Andrew’s recent achievements include obtaining summary judgment in Alabama state court on all claims alleged in a purported wrongful death action against a national trucking company. In addition to his broad litigation practice, Andrew devotes his time to insurance coverage matters, providing policy interpretation, case evaluation, and coverage opinions on matters arising from commercial property and casualty claims.
Andrew became a member of the Alabama Bar in 2006, after graduating from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law. Before attending Cumberland, Andrew obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance from Auburn University. Andrew is an active member of the Birmingham Bar Association, the Alabama State Bar, and the American Bar Association.
Outside of work, Andrew enjoys spending time with his wife, Kathryn Dietrich Perreault, and their two Schnauzers. When time allows, he enjoys fishing, reading and watching SEC sports. Andrew is a member of the Cathedral Church of the Advent.
